The courses in this category are developed by the staff and volunteers of the Bethany Project. 

We are a small team of Christians working together to help the most vulnerable children and people in a rural area of Tanzania. East Africa. We are involved in providing financial support and volunteers to visit both long and short term to share in the work both here and in Tanzania.  Our vision is to provide education for the very poorest of children in line with our aims and objectives. Therefore we do not charge fees. Donations from supporters cover all expenses including school uniforms, text and exercise books, teachers salaries and two meals per day, breakfast and lunch.

This course is intended to be useful for people considering going to volunteer at Bethany.  The course aims to provide information about Tanzania in order to give you as a potential volunteer an opportunity to become fully prepared beforehand and it helps you to make an informed decision about volunteering at Bethany

The course offers information aboutthe teaching and learning in Tanzanian schools. it also provides and insight to what you as a volunteer may expect when you arrive in Tanzania.  The course also provides an opportunity for learners to share information with each other and also for past volunteers to share their own experiences of their visit to Bethany.
