Does using technology to document thoughts and making become disruptive?
I am now having to consider how using technology to document the process, as well as using technology to show the process becomes part of the creative work itself. Thinking about Thinking, Looking at Looking, Observing Observation, Making about Making.
information into a different medium allows you to see or "re-see” what you've
done. To be able to stand outside the movement ... could allow you to go back
into the movement with new information' Kirk & Pritches (2013)'
Using technology to re-see and re-listen helps to create a personally driven feedback loop but how authentically can you document a thought process?
We can get blinded by technology (an interesting metaphor when talking about making process visible...) become seduced by it's physical appearance or the whizzy things it does but the creative practice is not about the technology. The technology is a tool to reveal and should remain hidden...
